Paisaje con la caída de Ícaro (William Carlos Williams)
Según Brueghel
era primavera
cuando Ícaro cayó
un granjero araba
el campo
todo el esplendor del año
despierto
se acariciaba a sí mismo
sudando bajo el sol
que fundió
la cera de las alas
Sin ninguna importancia
lejos de la costa
hubo un chapuzón
en el que nadie reparó
así fue
como Ícaro se ahogó.
